What happens
Nothing elaborate, and nothing that asks you to be someone you are not. The majlis is short enough to fit an ordinary Saturday, and it is the same every week so you always know what you are coming to.
- A short, practical talk. Something you can act on the same evening, not a lecture to admire.
- Dhikr together. The remembrance of Allah, in company. This is the heart of the gathering.
- Dua. We close by asking, together, for ourselves and for those who asked us to pray for them.
What it is for
The majlis helps a seeker purify the heart, tazkiyah, and grow into the presence of Allah, the station of Ihsan, through guidance rooted in the Qur’an and the Sunnah. It is shaped for today’s fast-paced life rather than against it.
The purpose is Falah: success in the Hereafter and excellence in this world. These gatherings aim to build strong faith, character and consistency, while encouraging you to strive for excellence in your work too, whether you are a business leader, an engineer, a doctor, a teacher or at home, so that you serve people with integrity and draw nearer to Allah and the way of the righteous.
Who it is for
A calm, reflective and welcoming setting, open to all, alhamdulillah. If you are already on this path, this is your weekly majlis. If you have never sat in one, you are equally welcome. Nobody will ask you to commit to anything, take bay’ah, or explain yourself. Come, sit, listen, and leave.
It is deliberately built for people with jobs, children and full weeks. Shaykh Shahzad Arif spent years in corporate and business leadership alongside his own tarbiyat, and speaks the language of the working Muslim, the professional, the parent, the student.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, said that no people gather in a house of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together, without tranquillity descending upon them, mercy covering them, the angels surrounding them, and Allah mentioning them to those with Him.
اللہ کے ذکر کی مجلس میں بیٹھنے والوں پر سکینہ اُترتا ہے، رحمت اُنہیں ڈھانپ لیتی ہے، اور اللہ اُن کا تذکرہ اپنے پاس والوں سے فرماتا ہے۔
