Shaykh Shahzad Arif is helping today’s Muslims come closer to Allah ﷻ without stepping away from real life. His work joins two worlds we’re often told to keep apart: a living spiritual path (Tazkiyah, Ihsan, the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ) and the everyday reality of career, family, and a fast-moving world.
Having spent years in corporate and business leadership alongside his spiritual tarbiyat, he speaks the language of the working Muslim, the professional, the parent, the student, and shows that the heart can stay connected to Allah in the middle of deadlines and responsibilities, not only in the quiet of the mosque.
An authorized path (silsila). Shaykh Shahzad Arif holds Ijazah (authorization) from Hazrat Shaykh Humayun Hanif Mujaddidi (db) to carry forward the path of Ihsan in the Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi order, a chain of guidance passed teacher to teacher back to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu) and the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This unbroken connection is what keeps the teaching authentic: not personal opinion, but a trust handed down with permission. (The Mujaddidi branch takes its name from Imam Rabbani, Mujaddid Alf Thani, whose mission was the revival of the Sunnah and the purification of the heart.)
Deen and dunya, together. The message is simple and demanding at once: you don’t have to choose between success in this world and closeness to Allah. The same discipline that purifies the heart makes a person more honest, more present, and more excellent in their work, as a business leader, engineer, doctor, teacher, or at home. This is Falah: excellence in this world and success in the Hereafter.
